I understand, but I think it was because he wanted desperately for him to not be, and make 'this relationship' okay. While he has known that his son has been wanting to do him and seemed small to falling in love with his real brother who raped him. I think???!!!

Because at the end the blindfold falls because of the revelation of his feelings and all. He has romantic feelings towards his brother but not for his son. Until then he didnt wanted to think because he has scared. He was going with the flow in denial.
