I'm very open about it but even some of my close friends are very repulsed when they see my gallery lol specially straight guy friends. Just make sure your friend is understanding amd won't make a big fuss off it. (=・ω・=)

I told my best of friends about it but unfortunately they were not interested, even my gay best friend. I can't even influence them to like anime and mangas so it's very unlikely they will be influenced to like Yaoi. I think it's better to find a friend who already have the same passion. You shoul try finding doujin with characters which any of your Otaku friends like :)
My friends are all Otaku so it was less difficult for me

If you are going to tell your close friends then just say it casually. I only told my best friend because I knew she wont judge or me. I could not make her like yaoi but surprisingly she does listen when I discuss anything bl related with her.

Yeah... my friend sometimes like to borrow my phone and automatically (idk its kind of rude) open my safari and who god knew i was reading yaoi at that part to. They totally hate it and its really hit me hard. Its sad... whyy whyy are you all soo far awayyy ╥﹏╥

Agreed. That's just not something you recommend to a friend. Even if I was neutral to yaoi, if a friend recommended it to me I'd be really uncomfortable, tbh.
