Did u read azami? I read this first then azami and yumi's story last so I actually felt sympathy for kan when I was reading yumi's story
I suggest you read in this order Yumi's story, Azami, Renai, then Hadakeru
I actually hated him for what he did to Yumi and I still dislike him but I can't deny that I'm glad he finally found some internal peace and accepted his present self.
