Haha, I never even thought of that. I don;t know anything about South Korean laws though.
I suspect the officer is detaining them illegally and using the prisoner's dilemma on them (Put them in separate rooms, pretend each side has betrayed the other to trick each side with confessing the crime)
oh, great idea! but I don't think the officer would blame Bum on killing the girl, so Sangwoo must have confessed (at least one part of) the truth.
