Yes, there's a reason for him to not lke them together and it's because he has a thing for Simon and kind of blame Conor for his childhood.
But you are right... i feel so bad for him, we should be more gentle towards him, all of us have been in a situation like his, where we were selfish and desesperates for keeping the one we love the most. AND he have helped Simon so much... Hope he gets the happy ending he deserves （/TДT)/

the reasons what you said won't help for Kiev character, yeas he has a bad childhood and yeas he help Simon a lot. and yeas he was a creep on Simon but here the thing:
1. Kiev always always, from the past and present, said Conor don't have talent. what is bullcrap!! so fuck him for not even trying to see how good Conor was in music, and he was good! not like Simon, but he was good. while he said in one of the flashbacks that Conor life is great and protected, now when we look at the big picture - how is it been protected is to be force to be something you are not?!! Kiev a fucking selfish prick and can't see the suffuring of his own family!
2. Kiev don't seem to care that the bitch dirctor not only using Simon, but going to throw him away when she done with him. while forcing Simon to have sex in front of camares to make more money from him. Kiev do aware she just using him, but don't do shit about it! so fuck him!! he said he love Simon, but what does he love about him if he let that women using the so called "his love". fuck his love then. he's not "really" love him.
Yeas Conor made a lot of mistakes, but at least he finally admit it and try to fix things. after he suffer so much crap of others.
so that's the reason's why I can't forgive Kiev.

I understood what you have said. He's being selfish doing this - using his past to blame others, so he's hurting people around. But... didn't Conor did the same? While having a sensititive period on their relationship, Conor left abruptly of Simon's life. They needed to be together and support each other in that moment. And after, Conor just thought about himself, blaming Simon for his existece in his life - saying that his debilitated state made Simon happy, that the Simon's presence in his life was a disgrace making everything a mess - that was cruel. He even admited that he wanted to make Simon suffer and cry. Eventually I'm super against with this and all what he did. Anyway, he's someone that I respect the most. So there's no way I can say it's wrong because everyone knows your own problems and how difficult is living and fighting with them. Conor was always been a little closed with his feelings and that was the time when pains just left out at once. In the end, we realize that none character has fault. The fault is inside of the human nature which only knows how to put people aside and exclude them to get more power. We saw things happen with Conor and Kiev so these acts are reacts of a suffering life. Is this the best way to act? No, but everybody is in the same boat: suffering with life without knowing how to resolve it.
Kiev isn't a devil and neither an angel, he is a human, like everyone is too. He also has a closed personality. Conor asked forgiveness and says a lot of "I love you" to Simon now. He's different, but it took several time to realize how things need to be. During this time, I didn't hate him, because I knew that just a drastic event would open his eyes. It's the same with Kiev. A future experience can make him change. Until things are like this, this is the only way he knows how to protect himself and don't get hurt. It's pretty easy to say that a confession is all he has to do. But feelings are much more complex than this. Anxiety, rage and fears are too mixed. He's not a robot. I love how realist this art is.
An other point is about his job. He was pretty worried about Simon, but there was nothing that he could do unless don't letting Simon dies. Everyone in that company is obsessed with money and he's the only person thinking about Simon. He can't do anything - he's not the owner, just a subordinated. Even being Simon's chief, he still depends on that woman. T-Rex isn't a place that he has liberty to do what he wants to do. That's what happens in Brazil. You wanna make your country better, but how to win since you're the only one against many powerful corrupt mafias that govern everything? You may even die, just like Chico Mendes while was trying to protect the Amazon Forest. Kiev could left his job to save him or Simon could run after Conor or Conor could realize how he can't live without Simon still early. But this is not a novel with illusions. People need to work, people depend on their job, people make mistakes. Life is not that simple.
All I want is Conor and Simon together in the end. They had a hard time and I think they deserve hapiness. On the other hand, I also want Kiev to be happy. Like everyone, he's tied in this miserable life and needs to find a place to stay in peace. Instead of Veronica, he's no able to do great crimes to get the one he loves. Realizing this, he blames Conor for many things and fight a lot with him, but he didn't even tried to make a real plan to separate the couple beacuse he really knows inside him that Conor is the reason of Simon's life. Even in a selfish way, the last thing he wants is to hurt Simon.

No, Conor is different when he selfish. he actually reach the very botton of daspeir after those assholes break his hands and he fall into self pity. and you know how self pity work right? it TOTALLY different case then Kiev that never break anything or reach such dapseir.
Kiev have mony even if he depend on this women, he know very well she can easily get rid of him in one day notice.
and then what? and then he find other job. simple has that. he know this women is crazy and after Simon life. and yet he didn't do ANYTHING until now. and only cry "I SAVE HIS LIFE" bla bla bla. yeas you save his life, but what about tomorow?! is this women really let Simon live a normal and not fuck up life? NO WAY! XD and Kiev know that! he know and that's why he choose not to do anything cause it very convenient to him to see Simon struggle with this fuck up women. and then "save" the day and be his "knight". the whole thing seem to me like more to help his ego then real love.
and Simon can get famous in other places too. that place is not the "whole world", there is a thing called treval to see the world. it's great!
and the daspeir Conor had to go through, I"m not even talking about his parents not agree to accept him has who he is and try to force him to change, Conor was bullied ever since he was very very young and had a very low self Esteem. even more then Kiev and mange to move out and live by himself.
Kiev don't seem to care Conor was bullied and his love for music. and he don't seem to care to explain to him what happen with their mother. even if he can. he just don't care enough to save their "brother" Relationship. and I think he never wanted to save it cause he just wanted Simon insted. it amazing how jealousy work.
about Conor hurting Simon thing after his hands got burn was, like he said, the monster inside of him. it very true when we so in daspeir, we hurt the most close people to us cause they know us the best and we know how to hurt them the best. but it all come, in the end, of how much we close to those people. I have a friend that do that, not cause she is a bad person but cause she was in daspeir.
Simon is so importent to Conor in a way even he can't handle it. and like he said, he wasn't looking for forgivness. he was ok with staying just friends with Simon. and that was amazing!
has for Kiev, he always leave Simon, like we seen many times to have sex with "clone Conor" man. if he can give up that easily and let him get use by that women, then he not really love Simon. he love what Simon symbolize to him. he like the idea of taking him to himself from Conor, but he don't seem to trully love him. he love the idea of taking him, not the idea of be with him for real.

yeah. of course conor's love is very more intense than kiev's. the two of them have a pretty confidence in each other, while kiev has only a platonic love for someone he doesn't even know so much. I still think there's no possibility to kiev do something to simon. even if he would leave his job, things were be the same. to be into drugs was an option that simon did by himself. he was too sad and desesperate. until having conor in his arms, no one could take this idea out of his mind. and that woman does what she desires in the company.
the thing i don't agree is the idea of kiev like a demon destrying conor and simon's life. he's not according with the relationship, but he doesn't wish conor's death in hell either. While seeing conor and simon together, he will create confusion. not out of perversity, i think it's more like indignation.

I agree with you Kiev isn't a demon, it true. what I try to point out is there is many other music company's Kiev and Simon can go. why only stay in one?
has for Simon taking drags, Simon did say when he stop that women sand him more drags to take cause she want him to take it =^= so yeas......it kind of didn't help Kiev didn't do shit about it.

but that's the point. there's nothing kiev could do. let's see possibilities:
1 - kiev leaving the company: everything would continue to be the same. he's justing leaving simon alone in t-rex.
2 - simon leaving the company: kiev already asked for that. in chapeter 5, he says simon could review things on contract to situation turns better or just leave t-rex. simon says there's a meaning behind the sexuals favors he had and there's no way it works/ he will leave it.
3 - kiev solving the whole thing fighting with that woman: it will be worse. nothing will change. he will be dimissed because she puts and takes out anyone she wants in the company - she has power to do it. so here we come back to no. 1
4 - kiev reporting to the police: he will destroy all what simon has built for himself. his sucess and dreams are going to the mud.
see? this is what i'm trying to say. in chapter 2 he tries do explain to that woman simon's state is getting worse and he needs help. he didn't even finished what he was trying to say and she just replied "i know you pay close attention to him. but your job is DO WHAT I SAY". kiev can't create laws in t-rex cuz he's not the king there. i don't think kiev did everything to claim he's the hero in the story. how he doesn't have to win against conor, this is the only excuse he has - that he was caring of simon. conor is basically the half of simon. and of course kiev isn't happy if that - it's natural when you have a crush on someone. i think his condition is similar to yokozawa. like in sekaiichi hatsukoi, everybody was hating him for to disturb ritsu and masamune's relationship. but after you realize an intense nonconformity with them together cuz he still had fellings for him. is it correct to disturb other's life? no. but feeling are existing after all. after yokozawa meets zen, he has calmed down and we see a great guy. of course kiev knows conor doesn't like being bullied by him. he's using this with an intention. he has a crush on simon and he won't do nothing? of course he will try something. but it's like i said, the last thing he wants is seeing simon suffer so he won't try to kill conor or something like that.

well there is one thing to just "say" to Simon that pity himself cause of Conor "hi let's go out of this bad place that you enjoy punishing yourself" and there is just force him to come to other compeny without asking him and just drag him away. drags addict won't just stop if you "tell" them too, you need to act on it.
and he ask it in a very gantle cute way thinking Simon "agree" to this, yeas right ╮(￣▽￣)╭ it was clear he won't!
don't try to say they didn't have any choice, they had a choice. they just choose not to do anything. even if that women have all the power in the world, they can still do things. saying you have no power and not do anything is not an excuse.

when he screem at Conor "I SAVE HIS LIFE!!! IT ALL THANKS TO ME!!" - that is claiming to be the knight/hero. while if he really love Simon, it won't matter to him who save him has long he's okay and happy then Kiev can be happy has well. see? that the difference between loving from his ego(Kiev), and loving someone for real to support him.
feelings yeas, but he claim very early that he's much more "muture" then Conor, that Conor is still a child that was protected. while instead, Conor is actually much more muture then him while have feelings for Simon. he actually didn't say anything to Simon about him and Kiev while knowing well they had sex unlike Kiev that attack him has soon has he come back saying Simon is a "slut" and that Kiev save him from been a slut. so who the bigger man here? to me it's Conor.
