Agreed - as the translators and others were discussing, quite a few semes don't even bother taking their pants off (it annoys me too)! Or yeah, sometimes there'll be ass, but nary an orifice to be seen! I'm intrigued though FujoshiShoujo, any links? For, you know, research purposes...
I think maybe it could be part of that thing in so much BL, where the "roles" are really rigidly defined - so semes can't even be shown to have a penetrable hole. As a major fan of sekes and switch couples I find that kinda disappointing (〜￣△￣)〜
