What the hell?? Did you even read my post? I said I liked the idea of them being a couple from the get go. I never said I act like Kae. I said I know how separate my fujoshi interests (because it's sexual explicitness inappropriate in a public setting) from real life. The fact that Kae was a fujoshi was interesting, but I read this manga with the intent of reading shojou, because *shock* I like other genres besides Yaoi?? So I was all for Kae having a boyfriend, preferably Mutsumi.
And I can't criticize fictional characters now? Since when? And please, I'm genuinely curious how Kae deserves better. Treating her boyfriend like shit, and prioritizing fictional anime characters over real people? How is someone like that more deserving than someone who tries to understand and partake in her interests, listens to her rambles, and is always super patient with her?
I seriously want to hate glasses-senpai, but honestly he's a good wake up call for Kae. I mean, I really love yaoi/manga and anime, but I learn to separate them from my real and personal life. They're not a replacement for the real social bonds you make in life. The fact that Kae is having so much trouble seeing that is really starting to grate on my nerves.
