When I took Calculus, I had to spend a fair amount of my free time studying because I had a terrible teacher. To make matters worse, the textbook was shit. However, I managed to get an A because the subject material wasn't really difficult. Watching YouTube videos definitely helped. I recommend mathbff and patrickJMT.

my teacher is alright. i'm in his class for two hours and the whole time he is just cramming problems and notes on the board, getting it all down as fast as he can. and it doesn't help that sometimes he will introduce something new during the last 5 minutes of class. like man we have two hours, let's take a breather. (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜 also same, my textbook isn't that gr8 either. thanks though for recommending these youtube channels to me!!

Khan academy is your friend! Good luck with calculus this semester!

I was in economics and had to take 2 courses in introductory calculus as a requirement for my degree. It was easy for me so I ended up doing all the high-level courses. Read your material well before class to get a better understanding and practice a lot after the classes, and you'll be fine :)
have any of you taken calculus? if so, how did you like the class and did you do well?
im 3 days in to the class and it's already Hell
