Before someone starts throwing tomatoes at you, I want to tell you that I agree with you, so much. I want more action and bullets and mafia story (James Bond style), I love how the story is developing now and I hope it will stay like this for a while.

The manga is so slow-paced though that I wonder how much time it will actually take for the arc to be actually over haha. Like if we're halfway through we're talking about another 6 years or so lol.

Well, he is a comedian, kind of black comedy. but genius.
Distance makes the heart grow fonder. While they are apart Aki is in a better position to develop himself into a person who can stand beside Asami. In the meantime Asami and Fei can find a way to come to terms with the past and develop a new place to stand with each other. Personally I want to see Fei antagonize Asami to try and break Asami's shell.

Asami and Feilong's relationship definitely needs some work. I believe it's why Feilong is now trying to help Asami with the current situation rather than just tackling it on his own, which he is more than capable of doing.
For me, one or two chapter are still in this ARc, and yeah we want Fei in manga more and some action but with Akihito, a very rare badass Akihito with guns, lather jacket and latex black gloves to save Asami life.

Agree with this completely. If Akihito goes back to Asami too soon, that pretty much ruins the true premise of their parting. It's not just protection, it's the truth which is that Asami cannot protect Akihito from the level of danger they're now facing. Because Akihito is Asami's one emotional weakness, and Akihito's level of self-defense is practically nonexistent. Physically and mentally, hence his walking into multiple traps, captures, and overall victimization throughout the story.
In the beginning it's understandable, because photographing the criminal underworld to literally flirting with it gave Aki a reality bitchslap he'd have to overcome one way or another. And the raid on Asami's home was the final straw to both of them, that staying together as they were with the Russian mob breathing down their necks wasn't plausible.
Asami sent Aki to that temple not just for secluded protection, but to offer him a means to reevaluate himself, and of course learn some actual self-defense skills. How he uses those resources is up to him, and I do hope Aki learns to curb his impulsivity and channel his anxieties constructively. And I honestly hope Asami doesn't respond to his messages, not right now. That would be better than him saying something terse that Aki could misinterpret and fret over even more. And I sincerely doubt Asami would want to relay something personal on Fei's phone anyway lol.
This is going to be an arc of building trust, amongst other things. Asami trusting Fei, and vice versa. Akihito trusting Asami, and vice versa. However strong all of that trust becomes will determine the outcome of this war of the underworld, and the role Aki will end up playing in it.
With such short chapters coming out there likely won't be time for Asami to respond to the messages, but I do hope he gets a chance to at least read them in the next chapter. Also want to see some Akihito in training action soon. There hasn't been near enough of that yet.
Yeah, I do hope we see what Aki has written to him, but Asami likely will realize that responding is too risky on all fronts.
Aki will probably have an insecurity moment from the lack of contact, and sexy monk man will tell him to stop dwelling on weak thoughts and get his shit together, if he wants to stand beside Asami. As we now know, Asami made it clear to Aki in the plane hangar that he would be a liability, and such serious attacks will be an ongoing threat. Such words will definitely be a point of reflection for Aki, and hopefully fuel to drive him.
Anxious to see where the action goes on Asami's end. (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
Well i don't mind seeing fei and asami together as long as they don't get too involved with each other if u know what i mean *smirk* action is good.
You just said it all ! i'd love to see a more badass aki tbh but this time a real badass not with just words and him acting on impulse as usual i hope he learns some fighting skills and how to protect himself so he can get a little bit closer to where asami and fei are.
I feel like I may be alone in this one but I really don't want Asami and Akihito to meet for a few more chapters. I want more interaction between Asami and FeiFei, them kicking ass left, right and center, and please bring Mikhail into the action. That chapter with all 3 of them playing cards is so good :) i want more of that. ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
And I also have this weird feeling that this may be the last arc of the series. Which is fine by me. Just sensei giving us some extras from their lives from time to time.
