Yaoi is basically gay porn made for woman and EVERY porn fetishize something, because porn is about that, about fetishize. Hentai, for example, fetishize woman/girl. I think because most hentai and porn websites have stricter registration (?). Most are paid websites, so it's unlikely that immature brats are watching/reading and commenting.

Honestly, if i want a good laugh, i'll read those comments. Otherwise, i just ignore them. People are annoying, especially immature middle school kids. So, i suggest, instead of tainting your eyes and brain with whatever in the comment section, just skip them entirely. There's no need to waste your time and energy doing something so fruitless

honestly I personally cannot take rape scenes in most yaoi manga seriously...sometimes the feelings just don't get to me or sometimes the characters aren't likable at all, and since i don't, i still read such manga to see development( most don't have that) but im definitely against it in real life
i just dont take it at heart when the characters feel empty to me, though the rape in hidoku shinaide got to me, i still kept reading it because i read comments saying it would get better later

Yeah I get ya. I'm also quite apathetic and I rarely connect with the fictional characters in books, unless the book is good nor do I put myself in a characters shoes. To me sometimes manga is just weird looking humans. (because they're not anatomically correct sometimes especially shota or Loli don't get me started XD) Though rape does get to me sometimes.

It's cool it you read yaoi manga, go right ahead. This is rather a thread on how you feel about your peers and their actions. I rather so pointed out the yaoi extremists who tend to be annoying and bitter when your opinion doesn't line with theirs. I stated in my personal opinion on how I often see the community perceived and the problem I have with it.
