Anyone else reading Save Me on Lezhin?

Omg this world is so bizarre! There's a kid in a wheel chair and people just kick him out of it for no reason and no one does anyone about it! Even worse, the teachers blame this kid for the bullying and the consequences of bullying. WTF?!

The teachers are the worst! I should have probably put spoilers but the guidance counsellor acted like it was his fault he got bullied and the teachers all reprimand him for ending late when kids keep taking him out of his wheel chair. And I'm like, "how could you not know this is going on in the school?" Some of the things that happened in this story are actually criminal.

I almost stopped reading that bc it seemed like a bully-fetish type of story at first bc the poor wheel chair boy was constantly harassed in the cruelest ways with no end in sight, but I read the Korean raws (every Tuesday a free episode unlocks), and *spoiler* thankfully the brown haired guy is taking out the bullies one by one which is extremely satisfying, but tbh I don't trust him? Like I know he wants to be friends with wheelchair boy, which is great bc the poor kid needs someone to show him kindness, but something just seems off about him?? Like him living in an abandoned building and wanting to hurt that one girl who's actually nice to wheel chair boy. It's interesting though. I wonder what brown haired dude's intentions are?

I don't think brown-hair is a bad person, but what is concerning is the childish way his sense of justice seems to work? I feel like he's going to end up killing someone and legit not even feel bad about it because he's the "hero" and everyone hurting wheelchair boy are the "villains".... He seems to have a really black and white view of the world, which as I said, is concerning and scary. That is probably going to cause him to flip real quickly on wheelchair boy as soon as he stops acting like a victim.
But... One problem at a time, honesty. The most troubling thing, currently, is just exactly what is the class president planning. He already set up the wheelchair boy to be humiliated enough to the point he wanted to commit suicide so.... WhAT worse thing can he possibly pull out now that involves letting him become friends with brown hair?? Is he going to frame them as gay lovers so they're ostracized by the rest of the school???

Ok, I doubt that, it isn't even shounen ai.
But, yikes yikes, I can't wait for the next chapter to come out later today....

I just read the new chapter and... yep, he's definitely gonna end up killing someone ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~

Chapter 30 broke my heart. When the MC revealed he had no idea why he was being bullied. I kept wondering why he was being so passive and it turns out that he thought if he let them have their revenge they'd move on but he finally realized they're fucking with him because they like it and nothing else. It just killed me inside. I'm glad Cha Namsoo beat up that one kid even though I think Namsoo has mental problems and is a little creepy.

Yeah, it make me wonder if this is actually what schools are like over there. If so, then that's pretty messed up. I'm hoping like most stories it's just an exaggeration.

More than likely it's just an exaggeration but sometimes the level to which you're asked to suspend your disbelief is ridiculous. Who the hell watches people force feed laxatives to someone and laughs?

I have heard there are problems with bullying in Korea because of the higher competition rates there is in education & employment (I don't actually remember where I read that tho...), but this story is obviously an exaggerated version of bullying... I remember I had a friend in a wheelchair in elementary and she was bullied a bit and ostracized, but when we became older everyone became more mature and stopped picking on her completely. Bullying a handicapped person is just the lowest of the low? I want to think that the author was conscious of this, that's why he used it for more shock/anger/pity factor.
