Lol what nonsense are you speaking at this point? Yes, Zombies have a strong hearing ability but they also have an abnormal strength, sense of smell, Vigor Mortis and an infection similar to Toxoplasma gondii that makes the zombie not even fear what's ahead of them.
Zombies don't need to eat but that'll make their lifespan shorter. Even as a human or an undead, but the zombies have limited functions to its brain and body system so in order for it to extend, they eat you alive, the fat and protein passing through the cell's membrane into its cell's interior are oxygen, glucose (blood sugar), and the micronutrients the cell needs to function hence keeping the Zombie lusting for more.
The guy can still do everyday human shits because he's not a complete zombie, he resisted the urge of eating humans and still have a sense of humanity left (Maybe its just because he was a rich as dude, that's why he's so picky in eating)

True but my point is that the ex bf died at the beginning of the story but this person says that a zombie can live after their brains are bashed out witch is the most common way to kill a zombie I'm just confused on where they are getting their information from in the book cuz it doesn't look like the zombies she has attacked come back so that's about it
