I always find this kind of story heartwarming. I've ever lived in a dorm house before, so I know how it feels like to live with many people with different backgrounds. It takes time to get along (I needed more than a year to get along with the others in the dorm), but it can be actually really fun, especially when you have a landlady as caring as Harue-san! (▰˘◡˘▰)
Chika-san is actually as caring as his grandmother, so his reason to act cold in the beginning is actually regarding the future of the house, despite his wish to keep the house as it is. Of course he can't keep the cold act if he actually loves the house and never hates the tenants, right?
Well, it's my personal opinion, but I actually wish Nozomi-san was a woman, at least to give something different in that house. But it would probably become awkward if he was the only woman, not to mention with his face being that beautiful... ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
The idea of the story may not be new, but I actually like the development of the story. It's indeed weird that all of the tenants never really thinks of trying to find a new place to live, but that's probably because they've thought the place as their own home, so the idea of finding a new place somehow always slips their minds!
