You have 6 days to use the refill coins from this event.
So when you buy chapters for 30 coins but you only use 21 of them until August 30th you're going to lose 9 coins.
I'm not sure how using your refill coins work. Maybe you just have to spend the same amount of coins in this period or maybe there'll be an extra section for these coins.

I've bought some webtoons during prioir coinback events. Say I spend 30 coins on a webtoon during the event, then once the event is over on August 24th I'll receive a gift box for 30 coins. The coins gifted back (the refill coins) will not expire once they are redeemed. However I'd only have until August 30th to redeem the coins from the gift box. If I were to forget to redeem the coins they'd be lost after August 30th. Refill coins function the same as regularly purchased coins and do not expire.
That's super annoying... could they at least give a longer time period than 6 days to spend the stupid coins? If that's the case, I'd only spend enough coins that I know I'd be able to use in that time period. So how is this sale even worth anything to me? There are comics I know I would buy, but I'm not going to spend all my coins and if I don't have a guarantee that the refill coins are used first then I don't want to waste my coins on something for no reason.
Sadly this event is different. This time the coins expire on August 30th.
In the past Lezhin has not had a separate category for refill coins and regular coins, they were all grouped together as coins. But today Lezhin announced "bonus coins" which do have an expiration date. I'm not certain if the refill coins will be classified as bonus coins or regular coins. I'm going to send a question to customer service about that because I'd rather not spend too many coins if they'll expire in the future.

Looks like Coinback Events aren't worth much now unless you already have plans to buy a bunch of episodes of something else. I hope they tweak these new rules.
Sad but true. If the refill coins are bonus coins, not only will they expire but they can only be used on limited comics and Lezhin has not yet specified what all would be included or restricted with the coins. I sent a question asking if the refill coins will indeed be bonus coins and asked for more details about what the bonus coins could be spent on. If I get any answers I'll share their reply here.

Well, at least the coins from this event can be used to buy episodes from every comic but I hope they don't change that in the future. It's already bad enough that they only give us one week to spend the coins.
I usually use this event (or the 1 coin sale) to buy episodes from finished comics. When I'm interested in a finished comic I often wait until they're part of an event before I start reading them. So of course I usually spend many coins during this event. If I had bought everything I'm interested in without reading the conditions first I would've spent 102 coins (⊙…⊙ ) . And I only read the conditions because I wanted to know when the Redeem Period starts.
I hope that if they change something next time they'll make it a little bit more obvious.
Yeah I just bought 131 coins before the event and was planning to spend them all (￣∇￣")
Luckily I've only spent 27 so far. I wasn't sure if the coins could be used on any comic. (The announcement for bonus coins says "the usage of Bonus Coins may be limited to a smaller variety of comics.") However Lezhin answered the question I sent in and said that the coins will not have limited use this time.
I usually would usually read the conditions but since it was a Thursday morning I was too excited about Killing Stalking's new chapter. I only glanced at what all was available in the event before going to buy KS lol. Glad I saw this question. I don't know what I'd do if I lost that many coins.
I asked as well and they didn't answer my question. I was hoping they would tell me how the bonus coins would be used. Like you guys said, if I have 100 coins and spend 30 on the sale, when I get my refund coins I want to know that I don't have to spend my other 70 coins to get to the bonus coins. I mean I'm sure they will have some sort of system, but think it's annoying that they don't clearly explain.
If you have 100 coins and spend 30, you'll receive 30 bonus coins after the event. The 30 bonus coins can be used on any webtoon however they must be spent before they expire on August 30th. You do not need to use the remaining 70 coins if you do not want to.
It would be best not to spend more coins on the event than you would use in a typical week.
I got my bonus refill coins and purchased a comic. When I did, I was told the comic would cost 3 coins like normal and didn't say anything about bonus coins. But it automatically used my bonus coins instead of my regular coins, which was part of what I was worried about. I also stopped buying the comics I'd normally buy (during the sale leading up to the bonus coin redemption period) and I think I'll be able to use all the coins I spent during the sale on only comics I'd normally buy, which is nice. So it's like a 2 for the price of 1 sale. Not as good as free, but better than normal.
I want to buy a comic in their sale, but it says refill coins expire on august 30th. Are they saying that if I use my coins to buy this manga, I'll get them back, but I have to immediately use them again? And what if I don't use all of my coins? If I purchase an episode after the sale but before the expiration date, will it use my regular coins or my refill coins? What if it only uses my regular coins and I lose the refill coins at the end of the month anyways? In that case is buying anything during the sale even worth it?
Does anyone understand this? It's really confusing.
