No one's saying he isn't a coward for running away, being affraid of attachment and for indirectly stringing him along all those or that this excuses the way he acted towards Subin just that it's understandable why he did that and what he's facing. It's not easy. He needs to suck it up and overcome his inner- conflict and accept the icecold truth.
Nor i'm saying that he is purposely hurting Subin the way he has so far! But his selfish actions has brought more consecuences than good. Is just like you said, suck it up and fight his inner conflicts.
I just perceive it as a toxic relationship as it is now and rather seeing Subin with hyung because of hyung decisiveness. But to be honest, Subin isn't exactly the best fighting his emotions either. So both of the main chars have to grow a lot o/
Hmm he doesn't seem straight to me tho. Seems more like a self hating deep in the closet gay. But still it should be Subin/Kang Jun, Hyunwoo/another guy

Just because Hyunwoo is a straight struggling with gay feelings and someone afraid of being attached, doesn't give him the right to hurt Subin as much as he has so far, he might be caring and such but, i mean, i say all that but in reality he is very selfish! u.u
