Yes!!! Somebody else has the same theory!!! (=・ω・=) I also believe, that Kyon was sent there only to do, what no zero or poison could do - get close to Lucaon. And then break both by twisting Lucaon's heart and crushing Kyon's. If Kyon had gone through with the plan without remembering his feelings towards his savior and killed Lucaon, we might have seen the exact same scene. For some reason Edward wants to get rid of both!

I meant EDWIN!! ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄ :-D

That's what I was thinking! Totally agree with you!

Seeing how the story has developed until now, I dare to say that your theory it's quite correct. Even Kyon thought that Edwin sending him to Lucaon's mansion was odd because Edwin totally knew that Kyon didn't want to fight or kill anyone. Although Kyon could never kill anyone, his previous master still send him. Edwin said that it would be pointless to send a half-blood too due to the strength that Lucaon possess, he is a pure-blood after all. Then why was Kyon still useful for the task? I think the answer is what you already said. Edwin wanted the both of them to fall in love (Lucaon and Kyon) and that's why he left Kyon's memories of being saved by Lucaon intact.
And yeah, we don't know Kyon's origin that well. I'm obsessed with the idea of Kyon being son of someone very important in their world. There are a lot of thing to be revealed.
I agree with you, the main couple need to be together. They love each other so much that they can't stand being alone, they´re going to die at this rate. The way Ryan is handling the situation is wrong and I hope that with te recent events he changes his mind about Kyon's situation and do things the right way.

I so agree with just about all the theories that have been said. I would like to add that I believe kyon actually cuts his mark to save Luceron. Chap 1 pg 2/3 at the bottom it shows the mark and it looks like it was slashed at the point where kyon was holding the knife. This could be a stretch but wanted to point it out.

I agree, there could be multiple ways Kyon could have had killed himself off sadly, such as slitting his throat for a quick death. But he chose to choose the area were the placement of the mark was. So he could have two intentions, he wants to leave forever to protect Lucanon, which instead of asking his Lucanon removing his mark(which would be painful for him) so he instead cut his neckt o remove it. A other idea would be killing himself off, the guilt, the confusion, the pain of leaving his lover go to to him. All that created some source of depression(seen from previous chapters, as multiple staff or servants said Kyon had been acting strange. So thinking that, he wanted to die, thinking he's worthless, that he had no purpose, how he maybe thought he was sent to kill the one he loves. He wants to die, to save Lucanon. But like I previously have said, he needs to do the complete OPPOSITE.

I really don't see the love Lucaon has for Kyon. And neither do I think Kyon is stupid. He was rhe one who wanted to go originally to Lucaon. Ryan was the one who stopped him. Now Kyon is taking the only measures that he thinks are open to him.
However, despite all that, I agree entirely with the rest of your points. Especially Ryan. We are in agreement that he is being very IRRATIONAL. And you may have just provided me with a way to to answer those who do claim he's rational. So... thanks!

It's true, many people don't see the love between Kyon and Lucanon.( and I will also explain why I agree with your second opinion) I respect your opinion, and want to explain how I see it. Many people wanted smut during the producing of Royal servant, and they got it. That's truly what the relationship between Kyon and Lucanon WAS. I think many people don't enjoy the relationship is because of Lucanon, and here's why. Lucanon is character who is suppose to be irrational towards others, and cold. He was simplely produced that way, and we rarely see him smile towards anyone in a non intent way to kill them. He is a depressive, cold, incompetent, and antisocial (in some ways, workacholic) he's obsess with his work( the cause of that, is his death of his parents). Now, with kyon, he is still cold and irrational as always, but we see character development. Throughout the series, Ryan has told Lucanon to stop pushing kyon away so kyon would not leave him. That effected the scene were he asks kyon if he is ok after a smut scene, which happens rarely does. I think authors create these characters to either use as antagonists in the story (with a cold and tragic past), or, for like Lucanon, a character to show the audience, who is ment for character development. I think Lucanon is still learning new things because of kyon and is learning to love, even so the story plot is taking a twist. I can go on, explaining with more detailed evidence, but I wanna explain why I slightly understand why some people despise Kyon's actions.
Kyon throughout the series is just so so vulnerable, this is what I hate in characters. The need to be ravished by an other and completely have no choice at all kinda hurts the mood for me (like rape). But I love the character himself, since we were tricked into thinking he was all fluff and was a typical character with a tragic past. But nope, author chan flipped the table faster than we saw. But think about it, I feel bad, he's stupid for the choice he made to sucide. But think about a real life person committing to do sucide, they are CONFUSED, and hurt. I forgot to mention in previous paragraphs, that even so he is dying for his love of his life, he hates every second of it. To be the trigger to the gun that is the one and only one you old your broken soul so close to. To be the one who would destroy the only one he stood days, hurting, at a door for his beloved one. To find out the you are just a toy gun to shoot at your own self. He's hurt, and thinks he doesn't think a "mudsd" deserves to be alive. I say murder because it was possible kyon could have gone through with his plan. Including how Ryan has treated him, he was pushed to the extent. It's basically being told over, fhar your so called life, was a lie, just a big lie. So that's why I see kyon as a very unique character, and glad to help with your reasoning after Ryan's irrational decisions against kyon.

I agree completely with your first paragraph.
Your second paragraph I believe contains a few errors.
I never thought that Kyon was just a fluff character. And the fact that we were shown Kyon cutting himself well before we actually got to it in the main story is only one of the reasons. Kyon's background was being revealed only in bits and pieces, which usually indicates that it is obviously being built up to something.
I still don't understand why people despise Kyon or his actions. Being vulnerable is not the victim's fault. If it were, you could even more easily say that it is the perpetrator's fault for making that person vulnerable, like Lucaon and Ryan did to Kyon. But very few people ever put the entire blame on the perpetrator as they should.
He neither needs to be ravished nor to completely have no choice. Lucaon 'needs' to ravish him and both Lucaon and Ryan 'need' to completely make sure he has no choice. This is another behaviour that I've seen too many people place the blame of on the victim's shoulders rather than the perpetrator's, where it SHOULD lie.
Finally, I do not think Kyon is 'stupid'. He's basically been pushed into a corner. I would never blame a person for taking the only path that they see as being left open to them. I blame, again, the people who pushed him into that corner. (Which is also why I find it really difficult to understand why people call Ryan rational. But that's another issue.) I think, if anything, it would be 'stupid' not to take that path.

I completely agree, my opinion was based of the voice of other people who have commented on Kyon's behalf, even so I dislike characters being TO vulnerable, to a extent were it seems to be rape(which it kinda is) you have a point where characters don't choose to be,(it's like saying women shouldn't were shorts, if they don't want to be raped) . I still don't understand why people blame kyon for half the things he gone through. I've seen people blame him for trying to die, or even falling in love with Lucanon in the first place, which upsets me because the character doesn't have a choice at all in those surfaces of decisions. At the very end, Ryan and Lucanon are at fault here, for different reasons. Lucanon basically pushed kyon to the extent by developing a lustfull relationship in the first place(even so it could have been avoided) but then again, the story is about them and there relationship developing. But people who say Ryan is "rational" in any way, is giving headache. He is pushing kyon out onto the streets, where he is left alone to die. I, myself, would have committed sucide if I had been in that mental state and situation, because kyon himself didn't have any options at the very least, telling Lucanon, would have created unnecessary reactions from Lucano that we don't even know of, (it could be used as a plot twist) but it wouldn't develop anything in the relationship except betrayal. That's why I think Ryan's intentions are all wrong. Kyon isn't stupid in any way possible to come to such a big decision at the very end.

I think that Edwin knew that Kyon was the ONLY one to get close to Lucaon because like Edwin said, "Some can read minds." and so Edwin probably read into Kyon's mind and MADE Kyon go (because Kyon n Lucaon met a long time ago when Kyon was a kid) so Edwin prolly thought Lucaon would remember Kyon or not, but, still be nice to Kyon (which eventually happens when Kyon got attacked in the mansion and sliced Lucaon in the eye with the knife) and they would both get really close and then when the time was right (because Edwin prolly kept tabs on Kyon even when Kyon didn't have his memories) Edwin would give Kyon back his memories to try to get Kyon to kill himself and so Lucaon would die from not being with Kyon, OR Kyon's going to die soon by commiting suicide IF AND WHEN Edwin gives Kyon any orders to kill Lucaon or hurt the others, OR Kyon will die by the very hands of Lucaon when he eventually tells him the truth, OR killed by the hands of Edwin himself, OR since Kyon's sick he might die from that, there are so many possibilities Kyon can die but, anyways I feel Kyon's going to die EVENTUALLY some way because of everything that's happened in his life ever since he was a little kid (plz, plz, plz, plz, plz, PLZ!! don't hate me for saying that I think Kyon's gonna die but... it can still happen and we can't change that ╥﹏╥ ╥﹏╥ (/TДT)/ I SWEAR I'MA 'BOUT TO FLIP A TABLE FOR SAYING THIS! I'm really, really, really really............(the REALLYS were gonna go on forever so...), sorry, You can hate on me for life for saying even this last thing but... IT'S THE TRUTH NO MATTER HOW YOU LOOK AT IT! I'M SOOOOOO SSSOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRYYYYY!.) ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ Welp, glad to take that off my chest. Woooo!!
I've been rereading and analysising the past chapters to make any inferences on the relationship between the main couple. Many of you pointed out the attempt sucide in the ch.1 explaining how it connected to the situation presented in ch.39. Kyon is scared, confused, and ready to give up his life for the one he loves, Lucanon (pretty sure I spelt that wrong) Now to mention what I had picked up from reading the first chapters. Notice Lucanon, his zero scar on his top left of his head. Either the author improved in art and wanted it to be more detailed further in the chapters, or this is a large clue on the emotional state Lucanon is in. Turning into a zero consists on a poison you receive, or a darkness provoked in your crystal (or mentally, if I am wrong. Please share in the comments, thank you) that is located in the mid of the chest. This explains why Lucanon has that scar even in the first place. His parents, died, and so cotinued into a dark past of his. The scar had darken and expanded throughout the large time skip we had during the first few chapters. We're wondering why is it so dark, or how is this bad. The idea I think here is. Kyon. I read a comment below, which I thought was a great theory. To start it off more detailed. Why did Edward, the previous master, aka bad guy, of kyon sent specifically him? He could of easily sent a "stronger" solider or servant into the territory of Lucanon. But no, he sent kyon, who quite myself take a large interest in. We were bought into thinking he was a character who lost his parents, like many others, and was a vulnerable and kind type. We only thought that from his backstory, and was fed even more evidence by judging of Lucanon and Kyon's relationship. Then, click, author-Chan flips the table. We are interdouced into a new antagonist, other than the zeros'. Edward, the previous owner of Kyon. Edward seems to be out for more zeros, and wants to kill Lucanon before he makes and continues the work of his parents with an antidote to the cure of the zeros(we don't know why, sadly) Now, were not even sure what really happened to kyon. For all we know, he can turn out to be a son of a powerful master. But, we do now he's out here for bloodlust. Kyon is sent to kill Lucanon, but ends up emotionally invested in him, and so does Lucanon. The theory, which completely blew half my mind, is what if kyon was sent there purposely for the need of turning Lucanon into a zero. To make him fall in love with him, and break his heart without even realizing it. Just like how some of his memories returned to him. Lucanon and Kyon's relationship were based of a form of lust. And further down the chapters builds of possessiveness, and sexual contact. There both in love, that surely I can say. But other than that, Kyon thinks he has to die to keep from hurting Lucanon, which is stupid because it's the complete OPPOSITE. Lucanon needs kyon by his side, he needs him. And without him, he may complete the form of becoming a zero. I make this inference from what I had previously had said about how Lucanon received the scar on his head. Now having that out of the way. Ryan is acting like a fucking ass. I'm sorry for my language, but he truly is. The women he brought, the famous hunter(I forgot the woman's name) she seems decent at the very least due to how she is not irriationally making decisions like a idiot..... cough.. cough... Ryan. Ryan is going to figure one of these days that kyon is the only person who is keeping Lucanon SANE. And making him close to sucide and death isn't going to help anyone. Even if Ryan's choses were purely out of protectiveness for Lucanon, I'm pretty sure Lucanon himself would gladly rip his threat to pieces.
. He's completely doing it the wrong way, kicking kyon out, (with no one to go to, he can't go to his previous owner, he'd likely be sold as a sex toy or something along the works of that) hurting him, and at the end making him want to die. He'll soon find out kyon has to stay with Lucanon. And the story could continue with plans to defeat Edward once and for all amd curing Lucanon.. Thanks for reading, I don't know if this theory is true, but I hope it is.
