Same here! XD
I deided to read some shoujo sine I'm dying while waiting for yaoi updates. *headdesk*
If you don't mind long (and I mean very long) stories I'd recommend Skip Beat. The only shoujo/normal love story manga I have ever gotten hooked on. :3

It is focused on the MC's developement after a broken heart and discarding/hating all things love (plus it shows her growth from zero to (possibly) top actress whih she is strangely talented in).
Not sure if you'll like her tho as she's not very shoujo-y (and not sure if you like extremely long + ongoing stories) but I find her and the other charaters very interesting. Plus, the story is always interesting and there's good comedy bits in it too. <3
Oh, same, same! But I didn't suddenly think of trying out some shojos, this one just popped in the recommendations, and the art seemed sweet, or even gorgeous, the cover gave off a feeling of "must read" lol. I don't regret reading this story but it didn't catch my attention that much either... It was cute tho.
We aren't comparing anything, we are just saying that we usually read BL, but even so were mysteriously drawn to this very manga; nothing more. There are obviously better shoujo mangas, and maybe we'll read them someday, but right now we've read this one and enjoyed it. But I still prefer Yuri and yaoi for the themes treated, even if there are still tonnes of shits in any genres anyways lol...
I'm a fujoshi. I'd rather read yaoi - all dicks and no chicks ftw! However, I got a hair up my ass from boredom and decided to read this manga. I'm sincerely stunned that I enjoyed this so much. The story and characters were both sweet and endearing. I'm most surprised by the fact that I liked a female character. The MC was just a normal girl with normal feelings and I liked her a lot. The twist ending actually even gave me a tender doki doki. I doubt I'll be venturing deep into shoujo, but this was a pleasant excursion that I genuinely enjoyed. Thank you all for having me.
