I agree. I think thats actually why I liked the second chapter. Its like we can see he isn't always the one in charge and his boyfriend isn't always getting manipulated. Also at the end of their first chapter we see he totally knows his boyfriend is manipulative and just goes along with it most of the time and kind of likes it and then the second chapter shows us that he doesn't really let his boyfriend do anything too messed up to him/he doesn't really fall for their manipulation.
I don't know how I feel about manipulative boyfriends or lovers in general. I understand the need for dominance in some people regardless whether they're semes or ukes (or in a hetero relationship) but a submissive isn't fooled into submission, the dominant makes everything known beforehand.
But with stories like this one, it feels like the dominant (the uke here) makes the other person depend on them and need them in a tricky way.
To be honest some manipulative lovers are such a turn on but sometimes it doesn't feel quite right.
