I couldn't believe my eyes reading an explanation of what visual kei is, than I re-adjusted my brain on reality and ok, that's fine, many people won't know it. Well, no, wait… some people… few people… very few people, c'mon... well… ok, some people won't know it.
But I couldn't believe again when I read DIR EN GREY enlisted as VK. Although they are one of the most popular acts Japan ever had, and of course they did star as VK, they have done so much to convince people they are not but they will forever be enlisted as such. My Diru (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ… they are not VK, really. I mean, I say this out of loyalty even though any time I watch Kyo, or Shinya, or Totchi, or Die, or Kaoru for the sake of it, I can't really convince myself about the pureness of their own conviction, but you know fans, right? … So, really: they deny they are VK. And the fact that a large part of the contemporary VK scene imitates them proves nothing (ah-ehm).
This comment does by no means disrespect the translators' work , which I swear I respect enormously for the effort they put into offering us the possibility to read the story (I suppose the note is theirs). Thanks for your hard work! It was a very interesting story, even though I'm not sure I was committed to it to the very end. It was impressive to see so many updates in such a short time! Great job.
[….but they do look more VK then Luna Sea or X Japan do nowadays… anyway!… listen to them and that's all from me]
