I agree, Seungbae is acting without thinking things through. Even if he got Bum to admit that Sangwoo was abusing him what could he do with the information? He has neither the support of his former or current colleagues. All the evidence in the world would be useless if he can't get anyone to believe him. Sigh, at this rate Sungbae is going to get himself killed.
:D
To be fair as long as Seungbae didn't sit at one of Sangwoo's tables he probably didn't even see him. But he better gets the fuck out of this bar because now Sangwoo's suspicious and there's no way he won't recognize him.
As stupid as his behaviour was, I'm glad he's a part of this story. I'm so tired of all those killer-stories in which the killer only gets away with what he's doing because the police basically doesn't exist.
I also like how Seungbae isn't praised for his reckless behaviour. Sure, he's right about Sangwoo but that doesn't change the fact that he has no hard evidence against him. To the characters in the story it must look like an overly ambitious wanna-be detective's chasing some innocent guy so they better treat him like that.
SPOILER ALERT. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.
Suengbae: How do I approach Sangwoo highly possible victim (bum) at his workplace.. Oh I know! (change hairstyle to slick back comb and remove eyeglass) YES! I'm totally unrecognizable.
Me (& probably Sangwoo too): ............
Seungbae: How do I start talking with this little guy (bum) Uhh, He's hurt! and he trying to leave. No! This is my chance to ask some question. Quick, think! Oh I know (proceed to trip bum leg)
Me (& probably Bum too): ............
