Oh boy this reminds me of Canis: The Speaker. It's just that Kuze might not know yet what Shimojou is actually doing. He probably knows about it but it looks like he still doesn't. And I doubt that he doesn't remember Shimojou they are just pretending they know nothing about each other. The story revolves around hate and neither wants to be the uke. This is truly exciting.

    Canis: The Speaker?

    Canis: The Speaker? akuma_river

Canis by Zakk, particularly "The Speaker" (Canis is separated into three parts) since the story was about three childhood friends making a grand scheme to take out a mafia/yakuza group which is on human trafficking. One of them was taken by the yakuza to prostitute and the other two friends find their way to reunite with that friend and save him. Years later, one guy is a politician, another is a policeman and the prostituted friend became a member and a significant person in the group. Kinda like Shimojou who is connected with the Yamamoto Group but is actually planning to take them out. Kuze is also trying to destroy the group as part of the police force.

Canis is also a Shounen Ai/Yaoi apart from being a Yakuza story. It's really good both in story and art, I recommend you read if you still haven't.

Oh boy YOU MUST READ AGAIN. The hat maker, Satoru, picked up a guy on the street right? Ryou? Ryou's related to one of those three guys thus the spin off. There were hints from the other two volumes about those three and they're all connected together. Unfortunately, even though the first two volumes ended happily, there is a chance that they may be caught up with the drama happening with those three. The Speaker goes way darker than the two volumes.

1-3 is the Hat Maker and Ryou's story and then there is a spinoff called The Speaker...or is it all one story?

Oh so Dear Hatter were two volumes.

Well, those three did appear in the previous volumes. And if I remember correctly, it wasn't clear if Ryou was already out of the mafia circuit by the end of Dear Hatter. Also, The Speaker was almost all about the three's back story. Volumes 1-3 are in the present. So the timeline's like: The Speaker > Dear Mr. Rain > Dear Hatter. They're all connected.

The plan was already taking place during the first three volumes, it's quite a shock to find out what those are in the 4th one. I just hope that Ryou and Satoru do not get involved once the grand plan takes place but I definitely want to see them again since their story's completely Shounen Ai. Zakk's art is more fitting to be a Yaoi. IYKWIM.

Thanks to you i discovered a great artist and a breath taking manga, i just finished reading the latest update that i could find (here on mangago). Thank you so much for recommending such a masterpiece, it's the kind of story i'm always craving for because it has a little bit of everything i need! (๑•ㅂ•)و✧ It's so exciting to see the development of the characters and how everything was in a way connected more or less, thank you fellow yaoi lover!

Welcome! Glad you read it. It's a no-brainer to love Canis. Everything is just so well written and drawn. The pacing is superb and the plot has depth, even without getting smutty, yet the The Speaker is gets a complete tonal shift but still works. I love Zakk, the first time I laid my eyes on the first page, I just knew I'd love him. Too bad (he) doesn't have other works here at mangago and he doesn't do much Yaoi, or so I've read. The Speaker gets better, I already saw the raws but I have no idea how I got access to them, sorry. The updates' slow since there are already 2-3 chapters out since the latest translated one, but it's the very few ones out there that's worth the wait.

Can you send me a link to the first part? I tried to find it here, but I think it’s the wrong one because the summary is really different, and not at all like canis the speaker.
