Since the coins aren't free you can collect points. The only way to do that is by going Lezhin.com/ko then log in. Log in everyday to get points for attendance. When you log into your account on the regular Lezhin app or whatever, you'll still have your points. Make sure to do this everyday. When you get enough points, you can get coins. Of course this will take pretty long but, it's the only way. I'm still collecting points myself.

With points you still will have to pay for the coins, you'll just be able to purchase them at a discount.

Well you'll still get 3 coins if you log into the Korean site everyday of the month.

Points only provide discounts for coins purchases. So with points you can buy coins at a lower price. You can only use coins to unlock chapters. If you were to log in since the 1st of the month, you'd earn around 1000 points and 3 coins each month.

Awh shucks... I have 300 points... Well at least I'll keep logging in for those 3 coins and unlock something.
But just to make sure, when I open even the unlocked chapters, does the author get something out of it?

I'm not completely sure but I think the authors get paid more based upon their ranking, which I believe is determined by coins spent on the comic and views. So it's possible.
