Julian's profile in Chapter 40.5 is a good summary about him. You'll see more of his personality in the upcoming chapters (his interaction with Ming Lan, Mr. Johnson, Xia Xi Lian, and Ming Qing will give us more about his perspective)
a bit spoiler about the later chapter I think he is a good guy trying to keep his love but there some problem between him and his father about ming lan so the the father doesn't like her and wanted her to be erased so there will no weakness for the white hair dude
He is not a total bad guy, but the way he was raised totally screwed his mindset. Julian likes Ming Lan, unfortunately he treated her more like a possession not as person ._., and didn't interested about Ming Lan's life when she separated from him (shown in ch.49). He only wants to have Ming Lan by his side, but doesn't really care about her personal feelings.
Hoping for a better character development from him.. especially after He received his second "punishment" after the big mess in Ouxili lol.
