"Becomes a woman"? Ouch! Speaking as a transperson, this is some of the language that hurts the most.
To not be regarded as the gender you identify as until you have completed every step of medical transition. Some transpeople don't actually want to have surgery - many because the results are not advanced enough yet (at least for transguys).
Interesting, I always thought transgenders always would want to have the operation and then become " man" or " woman" and live like normal people? I read from google and some facebook pages about LGBTQ I follow that's how I created this picture. After your comment I feel completely lost.
Haha, well even just getting cleared for hormone-therapy and surgery can be quite hard in my country (Denmark), so I can see how that could also be a reason not to go through it. In Denmark the only legal way to do it is through the psychiatric system and it usually takes around 1 and 1/2 year of (very prying) consultations and waiting around for their assesments.
This manga is a shounen ai to me at least, until he actually becomes a woman (if that even happens). But if it does then it's heterosexual, and in that case I won't be reading.
If anyone has read the raws, please let me know if he'll become a woman or not, so I know not to waste my time.
