Asami fell in love with Akihito and not with Feilong. That's all, it happens, it's normal, nothing strange. Only, Gu, Asami left Fei for being forced by Toh's affair, he did not abandon him, saved him and protected him in jail. He did not love him but in his own way he took care of him.
