Wow, I wouldn't mind that tbh, considering that i'm also into the psycho/horror/thriller genre.
That being said, I hope the author will still preserve some of the lighthearted moments that make us fall in love with the characters in the first place.
I actually am interested in the PTJ arc now that you say it has things related to sexual assault. Sadly, it happens everyday. And the horror and gore? Psh~ please, you can rest assured that I would be scrolling through the comments for spoilers and mentally prepare myself. And hopefully don't piss in my pants.
When I first read the series I have always thought that the author points out ugly truths/events as the main arcs. Like in the beginning we have severe bully cases, then online scam, rape, stalker/psycho, popularity obsession that causes self harm etc. So I dont think the manhwa took "a dark turn" bcs its always been dark imo just with comedic moments ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Hey guys i just read all the korean raws on naver and it seems like the webtoon a took a dark turn. Instead of focusing on the characters (and delving into reasons why hyungsuk developped a second body, etc.), the webtoon continues on with short arcs about prejudice regarding ones appearance.
HOWEVER, it seems that the author decided to make the webtoon into a psychological/thriler (and even borderline horror) genre. As you noticed in the chapter with the ghost lady, the author is capable of drawing rather scary expressions thatll make you jump.
Although i do not remember when the chapters started becoming like this, but theres was a significant change in tone within the future arcs (which have not been translated yet) noted below:
Tl;dr you might wanna avoid these future arcs:
--PTJ entertainment ch96-108 (heavy themes related to sexual assault.)
--Lady stalker arc ch.113-120(REALLY creepy in terms of plot and art. If you thought ch95 was creepy, wait until this one.)
--psycho cult arc ch132-present (Creepy plot + some blood)
And here thats all i wanted to say. If any of these themes upset you please skip these chapters. I just want everyone to enjoy the webtoon. ^^
