Surely it can't be hard to see why, from a purely fanservice point? They are the two hottest guys in the manga.
The main reason for me is their history. I don't believe YA is 'openly against'. If she does actually dislike them, she is dumb for giving them such a history and expecting fans not to want more from them.

If you are in the community (LJ), there are so so many more Feilong (also Asami/Fei) fans over there. We used to debate about different pairings there.. nicely. But those were the days. I think Asami/Fei fans here tend to keep quiet for fear of getting bricked/bashing. Well, for exception of course, that 1 Anon.
