I think the problem is that there're a lot of underage kids on this site so it's easy for them to sympathize with other kids their age (aka Sungho). They do not see things like adults who can be more objective and are able to tell the difference between legal and illegal actions. What Sungho did to Dohyun is criminal and not condonable. Dohyun was just being an insensitive dick as a kid.

Probably more that lots have actually met or been in a relationship with a guy exactly like Dohyun, and very few who have been kidnapped and held captive in a warehouse by a guy exactly like Sungho.
Trust me, when I was 10 years old, I still would see a big problem with abduction, torture, confinement, and rape. Dohyun was insensitive. Sungho is menacing, dangerous, criminal, and maybe demented.
Well, I'm no "kid" who doesn't understand how the world of adults is working. I'm probably one of the oldest here reading some yaoi. For me it's out of the question if Sungho is guilty or not. OF COURSE he is. And it doesn't matter what happend in the past. There is nothing which can justify his actions. NOTHING. That said, thinking the other guy was just a "teenage dick" is terrible to hear. I was never in such a relationship, but I learned at a very young age how cruel other children can be. Some action impact a person for the rest of her/his life. To say he was just a dick like there was nothing wrong with his actions ... wow, it makes me speechless and shows that there is not much empathy in this world.
Yes, he was a dick. He wasn't a criminal. He wasn't a rapist. He didn't beat the guy or kidnap him. He didn't even call him ugly names (ie verbally abuse like some relationships, even teen ones, have). Saying he's a dick is saying he was insensitive.
Tell me, exactly, what was wrong with his actions. I see him as selfish to the bone and unable to "give' in a relationship. Which describes quite a few teens. He wanted sex, not friendship. If there was no sex, he was outta there.
Are you saying Sungho had no free will, no responsibility for his choice to submit? Because the truth is, Sungho WANTED something, and he paid the price (sex) to get what he wanted (be with Dohyun).
I think Dohyun is a shitty human being. But Sungho is worse. Trust me, I'd rather interact with a selfish jerk than with a rapist-torturer.

The comment said the actions were not justified which is the opposite of saying he deserves to be raped.
Sungho had two choices to make and he picked the option to be with Dohyun even though he didn't like the sex. So he valued Dohyun's presence over his dislike of sex. Nobody verbally or physically forced him or steered him to that decision. He did the mental math and picked it himself. As human beings, we make choices and sometimes we pick the one that is not 100% to our liking but that's life. You can't blame anyone for your choices and actions. That's called personal responsibility. That was what happened to Sungho. Dohyun was insensitive but he was not obligated to be friends with Sungho. He didn't do anything to deserve what happened to him.

People who are justifying Sungho almost makes me sick. How is kidnapping someone, starving someone, abusing someone, and violently raping someone anywhere near comparable to what Dohyun did in the PAST? The PAST people! It happened like 10 years ago! He was like 15! He was the typical teenage dick. Not a rapist, not a kidnapper, not a abuser, A DICK.
Sungho(in the flashbacks) always had a choice. He could have said 'NO' and turned the other direction. Instead he was so desperate to have a friend that he consented to the sex. Yes...i said consented, its not rape if he could have easily said 'NO, I DON'T WANT TO GET FUCKED IN THE ASS.' Maybe Sungho thought he didn't have a choice in his mind, and maybe he felt very pressured and threatened? Either way, and the end of the day, he had FREE WILL.
