Yeah... There are many reasons why I didn't like this manga.
(Actually the first two chapters gave an interesting view on genders and upbringing, but the rest was rushed, kinda hurt and the rape was super duper unnecessary.)
But the biggest reason among them was the role model of a wife. It kinda disgusts me, how a young woman who !! has to !! marry someday is educated with a completely different mindset of housework, no further education (or only university, no job), etc. than a man. Of course this is fiction and I really Really REALLY hope, it's not actually like this (this extreme) in Japan. But still, the author is a woman. If she wants to write about this cliche, a bit (more) critic on this topic wouldn't be so wrong. But she actually fully supports it, even empowers it. I think this is one of the biggest problems in establishing feminism in all cultures; Women who don't believe in it.
And yes, I know, I take this whole thing maaaayyyybe a tad too serious, but honestly, as a young woman, this is quite a serious topic for me, since it concerns me. It's just, I haven't seen much feminist movements from Japan (or in manga). And no, a strong female sidekick doesn't do shit.
