when he asked
"i wonder what we should have done."
it express his regret for his choice
and then..
"If the roots keep growing without fruit, let's make a fruit and come to the end"
that kiss is the only "fruit" the two of them can make..and it should also end everything..
like a goodbye to the past kind-a-thing..
bec. both of them knew, there is no more room for what ifs.. they had lives to live.. and it aint them together.. that's the sad truth..
I'm not sure if yuu x Asaya history is really a bad ending(chapter 7), more like an open ending, especially with the quote: "If the roots keep growing without fruit, let's make a fruit and come to the end"
