Yeah but some of this comics themes are homophobia and racism... they're expressing that through these slurs along with all the violence of course. Better than rape, hope this comic avoids it.
It's part of immersion. Some things need to be addressed, especially if it makes people avoid it out of discomfort.

The comic would've been portrayed the same way if the author didn't use the slurs in it although if your white or another race that wasn't mentioned, it probably doesn't bother you as much.
I never said the author was racist..so you probably didn't read what I said before you commented. The racial slurs are racial slurs in 2017 that's not okay I don't care what you're trying to portray and it didn't make the story any better it just pissed me off as a reader. I don't like name-calling no matter what my race. How do you suppose the author to expose this racism in their comic? Through violence? Violence isn't nice either. Any exposure to the racism is not nice but as Aila said: it is being addressed. "It didn't make the story any better" but dude that is the story! The racism and homophobia are part of the entire plot. In fact, I think it's nice to see this is in a comic where usually the worlds of homosexuals and every race is perfectly accepted contrarily to the reality of our world.

Lololol "black and japanese" what does she have to be these two race and nationality to understand racism. You can be any other minority. Anyway the author portrayed hard truth about racism here. I'm not sorry that you didn't get your fluffy fluffy fairy unrealistic manga but this is the reality. We need to address it rather than sugarcoat it. You think the bullies would be like "oh person from fellow eastern Asian race I'm going to throw my fist at your body because I dislike your colour" in real life rather than call u yellow chinks
