I follow the Social Media
I force my brain to
1. Memorize their names
2. Memorize the number of works listed under their names on this website
3. Memorize the covers of the titles I finish reading.
So yeah I can NEVER keep up with anything because I'm a little bit stupid. I do remember my favourites tho.
I use is site for that: http://www.mangaupdates.com/ usually there will be a link to their twitter account or website available in their profile along with some info about them.

How do you guys follow up with mangakas? Do you just google their names and see if anything new about that sensei pops up?
Subcribe to any newsletter? Follow their social media?
How do you guys know if a mangaka is in their hiatus? Or forever discontinued a certain work/manga?
