Just because it’s popular, doesn’t mean it’s well liked for example jinx is very popular but a lot of people hate it and has a low rating
Its unfair to compare it to the utter trash that is Jinx bc Serena is actually very very good and very well done and ppl want complex characters but couldn't handle serena. The 'cheating' imo was unnecessary but she didn't know she would end up loving Eiser and was blinded by fear so for the story to have a low rating because of the 1st 10 chapters is unfair. Carsel did so much more than only kiss and now he is beloved
Not that i was attacking you i just talk a lot:( just i find it unfair in general because Serena only kissed her guard but Carsel fucked left and right and Eiser (ml) was engaged to Diah so safe to assume they've done stuff. Its very mysoginistic to adore carsel who fucked left and right but serena is somehow worse
