i think jin genuinely didn’t know his own birth date
I interpret it as jin knew some date as his bday which maybe Brandon might have given him or when he joined the orphanage and he also used that as passcode for his home but did not like to mention or recall because of Brandon trauma
Did Matthew actually get Jin's birthday right or was he just playing along since Matthew got him a present that day?
