benefit = more blood of the royal family spread out to control. and sometimes not always does the parent know what the child is doing or to whom. if our muscle loving FL turned out not to have the beast fang, but the royal families ability instead, guess who has more power over the nobles than another noble?
Wait what were the royal family's ability again? And if Fl does gain the royal family's ability the royal family have an excuse to control the Boleoti family? Is that it? Wait then is FL's father one of royal family?
If I understand correctly, if his son has a kid with the Orlo family, and that kid becomes the next emperor, then they have all the power. But because the empress’ family is kinda tied with the North, then that’s not possible. Basically he married the Empress to gain her family’s backing and power but wants none of the strings attached to it.
the FL is beast fangs, basically a mental attack like being bitten by a beast and it can kill people. no idea what the royal families ability is, don't remember. and from what i understand of the whole thing, you can only have 1 ability at a time. and yes you're correct, if the FL had the royal families ability, the royal family would have a reason to take over the north, that's a lot of $$$ for the royal family because of all the monster materials that come from the north. remember the FL's mother is the ML's cousin. so the mother went and had a fling with an orlo's son and had the FL. the orlo's son is where the royal blood line comes into play.
Ohhh that made sense since the current emperor's mistress is from Orlo family right? So the late emperor was planning on two timing families here. But isn't the current empress's family a vassal of the North right? Which makes the chances of the late emperor taking over the north more smooth sailing?
that's IF the FL had the royal families abilities and was friends with her fathers side of the family. She doesn't have the royal families abilities and is not friends with her fathers side of the family. she utterly HATES her fathers side of the family. i remember her commenting she'd like to see him....you know....lose some limbs and other body parts..if not out right die for all she cared. the only way the emperor can take over the north now is if the ML and the FL die and the vassal families take over. not seeing that happening any time soon.
Spoil me about the emperor. I don't understand anything about the late emperor, what is his goal? Is he the schemer of all these? Why did he let his son go on to be a womanizer? What is the benefit of that to him?
