He doesn’t hate “omegas” per se, he hates everything to do with pheromones. He’s terrified of being unable to control himself because of omega pheromones which is why he stays clear of omegas and gets triggered when they try to use their pheromones on him. He’s also insecure about whether an omega would truly like him for himself, as he thinks omegas are only attracted to him because of his own alpha pheromones. He also sees ruts as depraved and animalistic which is why he refuses to “relieve” himself

Not exactly… this is a big spoiler but
Chase sincerely believes that Josh is a beta when they start dating (since Josh’s pheromones are naturally weak and suppressed medically he can’t tell and because he’s never slept with anyone but Josh before, and has actively avoided learning stuff about sex, he doesn’t pick up on Josh’s …other.. attributes that would indicate he’s not a beta). So, Chase thinks Josh is the perfect bf for him specifically because he’s a beta. To Chase, if Josh is a beta, that means neither of them are being driven by their pheromones and their relationship is “real” in a sense.
That alpha is a nasty piece of work. Doesn't matter what his background story is!
Soon the alpha will finally recognise him as his bedmate. Heaven forbid how much nastier he would get.
