Yeah, at least. It is something, but not much since, in the end, she simply cares about her own comfort and feelings, not her sons and their definition of happiness. As of now, her understanding and the change in tone are born from wrong, selfish reasons, unfortunately.

At least she has the awareness to realize that pushing the issue will make her lose her sons, that's a small step towards understanding I hope
