I dont exactly know what chapter this specific scene happened but there was a LOT of suffering on his part so I wouldnt recommend it to someone if they dont like stuff like that. I love the overall story though and the couple but some parts were definitely a bit too much.
To me I was the same, and in my opinion I think it's worth it, it also ends happily if that helps!

Hi! I stopped reading this when Dooshik disappeared after a loonnggg and passionate night with Jooha and the evil ex fling of Jooha appeared. That bastard made it look like Dooshik ran away with the pearls. I never picked this up again because i don't think my heart can handle the drama again. But the story finally ended. I just wanna know if Jooha's suffering worsened the succeeding chaps, was it a long suffering, and is it worth picking up this story again?
