i really do not think its as deep as youre making it out to be, he couldnt be sure if she was a spy or assassin or why his mother’s necklace reacted to her so of course he would be wary and show her what might happen if she tried to do anything that would make him suspicious. Its really not that weird and he is a green flag i doubt you would be accepting a random slave that not only was blunt but also made you suspicious so easily
