Ok yh that check out IRL but bc this is a novel and I’m here for happiness, I’m gonna keep reading with the hope that the plotline is one of those ones where the spirits inside of them (or whatever tf the snake is/whatever is giving the ML his crazy power) went from lovers to enemies for sm reason till they died somehow and now they've been born into new bodies, there's still the pre established beef that transcends time as well as the undeniable attraction/need from their first love story
The prince fell in "love" immediately
Despite how suspicious blue snake is, not to mention while he's nice most of the time, he flies off the handle constantly
Not to mention he basically ignores all his subordinates when they are only trying to keep him alive
And I won't be able to take any love plot seriously between them ever, because white hair prince might be in love (debatable, more like he feels guilty for the war and thinks treating blue snake nice will lessen his guilt), but blue snake only likes the guy because he's not abusing him like his family does. He idolizes the one guy who treated him in a vaguely human manner. I could write an entire essay on how messed up the psychology of this story is.
I really should have looked at the author before I started reading, I've been down this cliff before
