I hated it too so I went and checked he says 강아지 which is puppy so they decided to go with boy for no reason at all completely changed his way of talking to sound like he’s some 40 yo ㅠㅠ
The translation got westernized so much
I knew some of old peeps out there calling their dog using "boy", and I've read few novels using boy calling wolf/dog too.
It would be nice if the translation team (from official) just follow the korean nuance
