been reading the novel alongside the webtoon and i must say that while it is accurate for the most part, the webtoon version really does dial down the violence level. like Karas is clearly bloodthirsty here, but in the novel… like in the ship fight, here he did injure a hostage but that’s it. in the novel he beheaded multiple hostages simply to like. reduce the number of hostages basically. saying each one killed is the fake commander’s fault. bruh it was ruthless…

    no literally though. the novel was lowkey gory. so many decapitations lol. and yeah i agree that they heavily downplay karas’ brutality in the manhwa compared to what he’s like in the novel.

    yeah… the manhwa is gonna NEED to jump up in rating to keep the story accurate since karas’s sex drive is quite literally a plot point. maybe the next season will be R18… we can only hope bc I would be so disappointed to have it all censored
