Their preferred site has a problem with malware ads (and ads in general) rn even with an account. Im just not going to use such a site. I dont want to jump through so many loopholes either, rather just read here since ive never seen a single ad.
That’s actually valid and I definitely prefer mangago for that exact reason. I still stand by that it’s a *minor* inconvenience. Though when I go onto their preferred website I get two ads, one at the beginning of the chapter and one at the end. Other than that it works quite smoothly for me so I’m not going to be mad about having to scroll past two small ads.
To be fair, my comment was more directed at the people who were targeting the scanlators. Idk I’m just not capable of being mad at the very person who made it possible for me to read and enjoy this manhwa in the first place. Even if I did have a problem with the other website, I couldn’t bring myself to be rude about it.
And thats fair. Its been maybe 4 weeks since I used the site so maybe it changed within that time, it just left a bad impression on me for sure. Im not mad about it, I just prefer to not have to deal with it lol.
They did explain in one of them about ads which is why I said that. Would have been true a year ago but that site has ads now, they cant claim its because other sites have ads that they are posting dummy chapters. Its no longer a non-profit site like they claimed it to be is all.
Its fine to be upset about work being stolen but some of the explaination to me doesnt make sense. Its fine tho, I dont mind waiting for the offical translations to release :)
I like how on the dummy chapter it literally explains why there are dummy chapters and where to read the real chapters, yet there are people who still don’t know why there are dummy chapters and where to read the real chapters.
There are also apparently some people who are okay with aggregate websites using bots to snipe scanlations so they can profit off the original author and fan translators who are working for free because ‘we’re all doing illegal stuff anyway’.
Reading this manga on the scanlator’s preferred website is a minor inconvenience.
