That's the thing with the BL community nowadays. New BL readers/fans are be complaining a lot when there are many wholesome BL stories out here that they could enjoy. No offense, but some new fans only tend to read Korean Manhwa, popular ones mostly and some of them have toxic stories. But there are good ones here that are some underrated Korean manhwa, good and unique stories of Japanese Manga.
I've been a fujoshi for 7 years now, and I'm gonna he honest, I like how those veterans are still lowkey even when BL fans are everywhere now. And I absolutely like to interact with them 'cause I know they can recommend me many BL that not are only toxic but many different theme which I can enjoy... being stuck in the same theme can be quite boring and tiring.
I'm telling y'all, talk to veterans who's been in here for many years or so, and they'll surely give you ones which you might've never even read before cause you only stick to one or you picky as shit with the art. (Don't want to proceed cause it's black n' white, the art is not that good, only reads for the smex) like, don't focus too much on the art or how many smex scene it has, take your time to read and understand the PLOT, bruh...
And also people hyping this type of stories. I see lot of people start reading this kinda story because they saw in tiktok or insta. Look the hype for jinx. I see post about jinx 8 out of 10 times in BL groups.
Also, not proper tagging of Manga/manhwas. Literally for last few day whatever BL I am reading either turn incest halfway or has incest BL. I mean whyyyy?????

I've been rereading some of my old favs and safe to say it has always been shitty. The popular mangas have always been the shitty no plot rape to love styles. People's tastes just change over time but new and popular manhwa and their colorful art just amplify the non-changing shittiness by 100x.
and its because of people who push these types of bl on popular platform that people love to generalize bl as just toxic stories with no substance when all they've read are the popular korean ones with red-flag mcs.
not to shame those stories cause I enjoy a fair share of them myself, but its discourteous to say that 90% of bl is toxic rapey stuff when theres so many good japanese and even chinese bl with amazing plots that get overshadowed by the toxic ones, like i swear it's more than 10% you just don't know how to look!!
Just so you know, the Bl community is like this today because of newbies who's first read was toxic shitty ass non existent plot that appeared in the air with the intro being sex scenes in the start that is abusive that somehow finds it's way in the romance section where it doesn't even supposed to belong because it has a shitty plot that the only thing it can make up to is the art that has a potential but wasted into the most disgusting plot ho ho hoes is the only thing that defines the ml who's a mafia alpha sigma wannabe on the top because he's born on a golden spoon who's definitely a rich spoiled brat who gets mad whenever he doesn't gets his way like how he abuses the mc because mc was his and only his like he was an object that was cheap but ml bought him for millions so he bout to use that to torment the mc even more. Anyway- and thats why the bl community SUCKS NOWADAYS FUCKKKKKKKKK
