Ngl I know they’re both wrong here but I blame Hayden more. He couldn’t accept Brett and his real self. That’s why he completely freaked out / Brett’s lifestyle and morals are vastly different from Hayden’s. And once more we see Brett feel the odd one out (with the goose symbolism).

I think it’s wild for Hayden tho to have that freak out after Brett mentioned he was SA’ed and how bc of politics, the only way to get back at the perpetrators is to drag that son through mud. Like why’s that an issue? Hayden has too much of a fantastical view of life if he doesn’t understand it.

Also Brett was finally opening up to Hayden too - he wanted to enjoy those dates with Hayden. But I think they now need time to fully accept and understand one another. Hopefully Hayden does chasing cause AINT NO WAY DO I WANT BRETT CHASING HAYDEN not after this chapter.

I love you for thinking about Brett. I read this in a different site and almost all were on Hayden's side. While I was focused on Brett. Brett was completely being honest with him, even the part where he couldn't tell him more info.

Brett's face when he basically said he wanted both of them to get away for awhile because he genuinely wanted for them to be alone together (you know, away from the craziness he's already dealing with like it's the most normal thing in the world), and when he can't even accept comfort from Hayden cos that's just not something he does.
