Let me explain why I love these two together. It’s not the most iconic love story, nothing like Reunion or Backlight. but there’s something deeply compelling about them. Both the main character (MC) and male lead (ML) are flawed, yet incredibly lovable.

1. The art is stunning, visually beautiful. Seme and uke are beautiful.

2. Heeseo, for all his red flags and imperfections, has never hurt the MC out of cruelty. He’s flawed and struggles emotionally, his love is raw and all-consuming. The MC is the center of his universe, and his desperate longing for a connection with Taekyung has driven him to make reckless, even destructive, choices. But who among us didn’t take any wrong turns?

3. Taekyung is... sigh... just amazing. He loves Heeseo not blindly, but knowingly—despite everything. He accepts and helps him.

4. They’re like trees without roots—drifting, searching. They fall for each other because they see themselves in one another. There’s a shared ache, a quiet understanding.

5. That's fiction, don't get too invested. Remember it's just a story ;).

6. This is a dark manhwa, and it’s meant to be dark and unsettling.

5. Most important thing! Lots of hate comments like in Jinx, now Mingwa is going on hiatus for surgery or whatever. U all need to remember that those manhwa authors are just trying to make a living. They are human beings trying to appeal to an audience and keep the plot going to pay their bills.

If you don’t like it, just move on to another story. Why keep coming back with every update just to hate on the author and the manhwa? There are plenty of other manhwas out there.

I can’t bring myself to hate on the author for her work, I can't even draw or write a decent storyline that would keep an audience hooked for 2 seasons. Some people love to tell others how to do their jobs, but I suggest they try doing it themselves and see how hard it actually is. The author may not be a manhwa genius, but for a first work? It’s pretty decent.

Just cuz their bills are being paid from writing stories don’t mean criticism can’t be made. Those hating/criticizing make valid points cuz again these Stockholm Syndrome stories just be the same and predicable yet those loving it are eating it up well. Again it’s disappointing when a good plot becomes a boring disappointing story. Your opinion is different from mine which ofc valid since we all human but damn wish the story went differently. I’m tired of authors only taking paths that will please those who are easily pleased.

I never said criticism can't be made. This website is filled with free pirated works, the manhwa author won’t be paid for their hard work anyway. What I was referring to are the redundant hate comments. Of course, you can express your thoughts, no one is stopping you. But if a manhwa disappoints you that much, it’s okay to just drop it. If you are not that easily pleased with a free manhwa with great art and ok plot, feel free to produce a work that won't disappoint. Be the change you want to see in the manhwa world.
