Then when Kim Dan says he cant do this, JK says he wont be sent home "safe and sound". the pressuring/bribery would be him saying "so i guess you don't need that five grand after all."

But he totally agreed to the contract and even though he was treated like trash he fell in love with this man in the most delulu ways. Yes, I mean it's not like the author did something new, it is a setting that often happens in stories that involve a redemption arc, some pull it off well and others don't. So i don't think the author deserves too much hate either because the story isn't over yet.Time will tell if there is a satisfying ending for all this but so far the story is still kinda popular so the author is not doing that bad of a job with the storytelling imo so far.
