personally for me, i hate it when they start off as kids. I don't mean like them being kids for 2 panels, i mean they kids for like 20 seasons acting like adults like grow up omg

I rly hate timeskips when they are already adults, like timeskips when growing up is one thing, but after the long ass time getting together just to stupidly break up and then a timeskip, makes me wanna kms

Exposition dump, esp toward the end of the story. It's cheap. If whatever is getting the dump is as integral to the story as it implies, then write it into the story, instead of waiting to dump all that info last minute to "explain" things that happened prior. I've read several mystery stories that do this and it ruins the damn story.
