ok so basically there's a total of 3 worlds. First world Euijae didn't die, the fragments of the past shown so far are feom the second world.
The second world existed because EuiJae used an item to create the world from scratch, but because of it he had to become a pivot for the first world, which caused him to be very sickly his whole life in the second world.
Second world EuiJae died due to being aflicted with an illness, and in turn second world SaYoung became second world's pivot using the item EuiJae used before.
What is happening in the current world thats different is because the item was supposed to only be used once, the only reason SaYoung could use it was because EuiJae is so powerful some of his power helped make the watch useable again.
The reason EuiJae's sword recognises mr dumbfuck as its creator is because its actually SaYoung's sword from the second world. The rift EuiJae and gang got stuck in was actually a rift into the second world post world-end

bro 300?????? i don't think i'm gonna be able to stick around for this one folks...
its rlly not like that... like, you cant really blame them for it (i mean i blame cha euijae but-)
manhwa wise they still have a bunch of stuff related to their relationship that needs to be fully revealed i think, and right after that absolutely everything goes to hell.
its a very plot heavy story, but that isnt to say there's no development in their relationship until 300 novel chapters. It still takes a while but I think over time its more of an issue of "there's too much going on for them to sit down and have a chat abt their dating status" rather than their relationship not progressing tbh
so i'm guessing the rift acted as some sort of tear in dimensions, and the J from this world really did die like all the reports say but this new J got spit out. It would explain just about everything, at least for me.
