Tbh... just the lack of "romance" is enough for me to keep reading it... like... there's a couple girls in it... but they appear sporadically and are useful to mc in some way... and they are not annoying... like even if they admire him or develop a crush they don't cling to him nor act like those crazy jealous girls...
To me the author not needing to make the girls gaga over him to make him seem cooler already shows mc is cool enough...
